Product Description

Most entry level helmets are designed to hit a price. The K1 S was designed to pass a test. When Europe replaced its old helmet standard with the far tougher ECE 22.06, which measures rotational impacts and strikes the shell at more points and more speeds, AGV put its most affordable full face helmet through it and passed while plenty of pricier lids were still being redesigned. What you get here is that helmet in gloss black: the same shell profile, front vents and rear spoiler that came out of the wind tunnel work behind the Pista GP that AGV builds for MotoGP.

The number that surprises most riders is the field of view. The Ultravision visor opens up 190 degrees horizontally, which is wider than what some helmets at three times the price offer. You notice it in heavy city traffic before you notice it anywhere else: a car drifting into your lane appears in the corner of your eye while your head is still pointing forward. Weight is around 1,520 grams in the smaller shell, normal for a thermoplastic full face helmet, and it carries well because the shell is compact and sits close to the head.

Safety tested to the newest standard

ECE 22.06 is the certification that matters right now, and the K1 S has it. Under the thermoplastic shell sits a 4-density EPS liner developed in four sizes, so the foam above your temples absorbs energy differently from the foam at the crown, the way impact zones actually behave in a crash. The lower edge has a collarbone safe profile that angles away from your clavicle instead of into it. The strap closes with a double D-ring, the same closure race tracks require, and the helmet is built on two shell sizes (XS to M and L to XXL) so a small head is not swimming inside a padded-out large shell.

A visor built for wide roads and fast swaps

The anti-scratch Ultravision visor covers 190 degrees side to side and opens with a micro-position first click, useful when you want a crack of airflow without the wind blast. Swapping it takes seconds: the XQRS quick release system pops the visor off without tools, so cleaning it or changing to a dark one is a ten second job in the parking lot. The visor is prepared for a Pinlock 70 MaxVision anti-fog insert. The insert is sold separately, and that is worth knowing before you order if you ride early mornings, because a visor chilled by AC air fogs fast in humid coastal weather. We stock the insert, so add it to the same order and it arrives together.

Ventilation that earns its keep in hot climates

Five adjustable front vents feed air through channels in the EPS, and two rear extractors behind the integrated spoiler pull the hot air out as you move. The faster you ride, the harder it works. The Dry-Comfort interior pulls sweat off your skin instead of soaking it up, and the whole liner comes out for washing, which matters far more in hot climates than in Europe: after a month of summer commuting you can wash the interior instead of living with it. The cheek pads are shaped to let glasses slide in without pressing your temples, and the nose guard and chin wind protector are removable.

Ready for your intercom

The interior has recesses for speakers, and the smooth shell sides leave room for a clamp or adhesive mount, so a SENA or Cardo unit installs without cutting anything. If you plan to add one, tell us when you order and we will match you with a unit that fits this shell. BoostBox stocks both brands.

What comes in the box

  • AGV K1 S helmet in gloss black

  • Clear anti-scratch Ultravision visor, installed

  • Removable nose guard and chin wind protector, fitted

  • AGV helmet bag

Note: No dark visor or Pinlock insert in the box. Both are available separately from BoostBox, and most riders add the dark visor for daytime and keep the clear one for night.

Is the AGV K1 S certified to ECE 22.06?

Yes. It was one of the first helmets in its price range to pass ECE 22.06, the current European standard that adds rotational impact testing and strikes the shell at more points than the old 22.05.

Does a SENA or Cardo intercom fit the K1 S?

Yes. The interior has speaker recesses and the shell leaves room for a clamp or adhesive mount, so common SENA and Cardo units install without modification. We stock both brands and can bundle one with the helmet.

Is a Pinlock anti-fog insert included?

No. The visor comes Pinlock 70 MaxVision prepared, but the insert is sold separately. If you ride early mornings near the coast, order it with the helmet. It solves visor fog completely.

Does the K1 S have an internal sun visor?

No, there is no drop-down sun visor. Most riders pair the installed clear visor with a separately sold dark visor for daytime. Swapping between them takes seconds with the XQRS system, no tools.

What is the difference between the AGV K1 and the K1 S?

The K1 S is the updated model. It adds ECE 22.06 certification, the wider 190 degree Ultravision visor and an improved washable interior. The shell shape, spoiler and ventilation carry over from the K1.

What is the difference between the gloss black and matt black versions?

Only the paint. Shell, visor, interior and certification are identical. Gloss is easier to wipe clean, matt hides small scratches better. BoostBox stocks both, so pick the look you prefer.

Is it good for summer riding in hot climates?

Yes, within honest limits. Five front vents, EPS air channels and two rear extractors keep air moving at speed, and the washable Dry-Comfort liner pulls sweat off your skin. In stopped traffic at 45 degrees every helmet is hot. On the move this one breathes better than most at the price, which is exactly why it sells so well across the whole region.

Can I try it on before buying?

Of course. Visit the BoostBox showroom in Al Khobar or Riyadh and try the size on your own head, which always beats guessing from a chart. We ship everywhere in Saudi Arabia within 1 to 4 working days, and you can split the payment with Tamara.

Do you ship outside Saudi Arabia?

Yes. BoostBox is based in Saudi Arabia and ships to the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and most other countries. GCC orders typically arrive within 3 to 7 working days depending on the destination and customs clearance. If you are ordering from outside the GCC, contact us before checkout and we will confirm the shipping cost and delivery time for your country. The helmet ships in its original AGV box, fully protected for international transit.
