Priced at 599 SAR, this is the graphic edition of a helmet SHARP independently rated 5 stars, the UK safety programme's top score, when they tested the Braker SV shell in August 2024. Underneath a bold black, pink, cyan and yellow monster design is the same ECE 22.06 and DOT certified full face construction as every other Braker SV in the range. Nothing about the graphic changes the protection.
Most riders shopping for a second helmet already own something plain for the commute. This is the one they buy after that, when they want a lid with a bit of noise to it, without stepping down in safety to get it. That's a narrower shopping decision than "which full face helmet should I buy," and the page below is written for that decision specifically.
A tested shell wearing a loud finish
It's worth separating two things that often get blurred in helmet marketing: the graphic and the shell. They're not the same claim.
SHARP doesn't repaint a helmet and retest it for every colourway a brand releases. They test the shell, the EPS liner, the retention system, and the visor mechanism, then that rating applies across the model's finishes unless the manufacturer changes the underlying construction. MT's own SHARP listing for the Braker SV shows one entry, one test date, one score: 5 stars. That's the number this graphic edition inherits, because the graphic sits on top of a shell that never changed.
Riders who've bought the graphic editions of this helmet tend to say the same thing in reviews across UK retailers: they expected the loud finish to come with a catch somewhere, cheaper materials, a lower safety tier, something. It doesn't. The HIRP shell, the multi-density EPS, the micrometric buckle, all identical to the solid colours. What you're paying the small premium for is the finish itself, not a different helmet underneath it.
What it actually does on the road
Three intake vents across the front, crown, brow and chin, feed air into channels cut through the liner, and a rear spoiler with extraction ports pulls the heat back out. That matters more in Gulf heat than most spec sheets let on, since a helmet that traps air becomes unwearable by the second hour of a ride, whatever it looks like.
The internal sun visor drops with one hand for midday glare and lifts straight back to a clear, scratch-resistant MT-V-28B visor the moment you're in shade or riding at night. That visor pops off in seconds without tools through MT's QVSS release system, and swapping to a mirrored silver MT-V-28B takes about as long. It's also pre-fitted to take a Pinlock DKS435 or Fogoff FOG010 anti-fog insert if you're riding early mornings in humid coastal air.
The shell also carries a built-in UCS intercom mount with speaker space in the cheek pads, so a Cardo or Sena sits flush rather than bolted on as an afterthought. And the liner itself pulls out, machine washes, and dries overnight, worth mentioning because a graphic helmet that gets worn on weekends still needs to smell fine on a Tuesday.
Is this the right helmet for you?
Good fit if you already have a plain helmet for the daily grind and want something with actual personality for the bike you ride for fun. Good fit if you're newer to riding and don't see why a serious safety rating and a design you'd actually choose have to be different helmets. Good fit if you've been quietly annoyed that every "affordable" helmet option looks the same as the last five you tried on.
Not the right pick if you need to stay low-key, work uniform, shared family bike, riding somewhere a loud graphic draws the wrong kind of attention. The solid gloss black in this same range gives you the identical shell and the identical SHARP score without the statement.

Does the SHARP 5-star rating really apply to the graphic version, or just the solid colours?
It applies to the shell, which is identical across every Braker SV finish. SHARP's test and score are tied to the construction, not the paint, so the 5-star result carries over to Crazy Teddy the same way it does to any other colourway in the range.
Is the design painted on, or is it a wrap that could peel?
It's a factory gloss finish applied during shell production, not an aftermarket wrap or sticker set. It wears the same way a solid gloss colour does.
What actually makes this different from the plain colour options at a similar price?
Nothing in the certification, weight, or ventilation. The difference is entirely the finish, and a small price step that reflects the more complex graphic application.
Will a Cardo or Sena intercom fit without modification?
Yes. The shell includes a UCS-standard intercom housing and cheek pad space built for speakers, so standard clamp or adhesive mounts fit without cutting anything.
Does the helmet come with a Pinlock insert included?
No, the visor is Pinlock-ready (DKS435 fitment) but the anti-fog insert itself is sold separately, as is standard across this segment.
How much does it weigh?
Around 1,600 g depending on shell size, in line with the rest of the Braker SV range.
