The K6 S is what happens when AGV takes the materials and design rules from its MotoGP helmets and applies them to a road helmet with no racing graphics and no gimmicks. The shell is a carbon and aramid fiber weave, the same family of materials as the Pista GP, built in four outer shell sizes over a 5-density EPS liner. That combination is why this is one of the lightest road full face helmets you can buy: AGV's official figure is around 1,225 grams depending on size, and independent scales put a size M at roughly 1,298 grams. On a long ride, the difference between this and a typical 1,600 gram helmet is something your neck reports back by the second hour.
The Ultravision eye port gives 190 degrees of horizontal vision and 85 degrees vertical, with an Optical Class 1 visor up to 4.3 mm thick. In practice that means lane changes in Saudi traffic happen with your eyes, not your whole head, and the view stays wide even in a tucked position. AGV states the K6 S passes the ECE 22.06 tests with a margin of around 36 percent above the required levels, and this matt black version carries the E2206 certification, with a DOT version available for the US market.
The details show the racing DNA. The visor mechanism is metal and deliberately tiny, so more of the shell surface is EPS instead of plastic hinge. The bottom edge has AGV's collarbone safe profile. The cheek pads have an emergency release system for medics. And the aerodynamic spoiler was enlarged over the original K6 specifically to cut lift and buffeting at highway speed.
The reviews back this up. The tester at Britain's biggest motorcycle magazine rated the K6 S the best helmet he had used to date after a year of riding it through winter and summer, and US reviewers keep landing on the same two points: the weight you stop noticing, and the eye port you never stop appreciating.
The Pinlock is in the box this time
Most helmets at every price level ship "Pinlock prepared" and leave the anti-fog lens as a separate purchase. The K6 S ships with the Pinlock 120XLT MaxVision lens included in the box, along with a chin curtain, breath guard, cloth carry bag, and even silicone lube for the visor seal. Install the lens once and visor fog stops being a subject, which matters here on humid coastal mornings when an AC-chilled visor mists over in seconds.
The visor itself swaps without tools through a compact metal quick release mechanism, and the Micro-Lock system lets you crack the visor open a few millimeters for airflow while keeping it locked to the chin guard. One honest note: there is no internal drop-down sun visor. AGV now offers a photochromic visor for the K6 S that darkens automatically in sunlight and clears at night, which solves the sun question with a single visor; otherwise the classic setup is a tinted visor for daytime and the clear Pinlock-equipped one after dark, and the swap takes seconds.
Ventilation and interior in Saudi heat
Five adjustable vents feed the helmet: a central crown vent placed at the point of maximum air pressure, two more forehead vents, and two chin bar inlets, all exhausting through the rear extractor behind the spoiler. Airflow builds with speed and is genuinely effective on the move; in stopped traffic, like every full face helmet, you will crack the visor at the light. A fair warning from real owners: the vent sliders are small and can be fiddly with thick gloves, so set them before you set off.
The interior is where the price shows. The crown pad is Shalimar fabric, soft and fast-wicking; the cheek pads use Ritmo fabric with Shalimar at the cheekbones for stability at speed; the neck roll is water-resistant synthetic leather that also seals out wind noise; and the outer liner fabric is waterproof, so rain and sweat do not soak into the padding. Everything removes and washes. The interior is cut for glasses, there are speaker pockets for a Cardo, Sena, or AGV's own ARK system, and the strap closes with a race-style double D ring.

Is the AGV K6 S ECE 22.06 certified?
Yes. It carries the E2206 certification including rotational impact testing, and AGV states it passes the required test levels with a margin of around 36 percent. A DOT version exists for the US market.
Is the Pinlock anti-fog lens included?
Yes, and this is rare: the Pinlock 120XLT MaxVision lens comes in the box, along with a chin curtain, breath guard, carry bag, and visor seal lube. Nothing extra to buy for fog-free riding.
Does it have an internal sun visor?
No. The K6 S keeps weight down and EPS coverage up by skipping the drop-down visor. Most riders here run a tinted visor for daytime and the clear Pinlock-equipped one at night, and the metal quick release makes the swap a seconds-long job.
How heavy is it really?
AGV's official figure is approximately 1,225 grams and varies by shell size. Independent scales measured about 1,298 grams in size M and 1,365 grams in size L. Any of those numbers makes it one of the lightest road full face helmets sold.
What is the difference between the K6 and the K6 S?
The K6 S updates the certification from ECE 22.05 to 22.06 and enlarges the rear spoiler to reduce lift at speed. The shape, carbon aramid shell, and wide eye port carry over.
Can I install an intercom?
Yes. There are speaker pockets in the interior and the shell accepts clamp or adhesive mounts. Cardo and Sena units fit, and AGV's own ARK system integrates directly.
Is it good for Saudi summer?
On the move, yes: five vents with a pressure-point crown intake and a rear extractor keep air flowing, and the wicking interior handles sweat. Two honest notes: airflow is speed-dependent, so stopped traffic is warm like any full face, and the vent sliders are small enough to be fiddly with gloves, so set them before riding.
Is it quiet at highway speed?
Quieter than most sport helmets, and it is by design: the sealed neck roll blocks wind from underneath and the wind tunnel shape cuts turbulence. Reviewers who ride flagship touring helmets note it is not the absolute quietest lid money can buy, and like any helmet at Saudi highway speeds, earplugs remain smart on long rides.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. Visit the BoostBox showroom in Al Khobar or Riyadh and try your size in person, which matters with this helmet's snug fit. We ship across Saudi Arabia in 1 to 4 working days, with Tabby and Tamara installments available. You can also browse our full helmet collection and the rest of our head gear.
