The Wild B1 is the Jarama for riders who find plain colors boring. Twin gloss orange pinstripes run over a matt black shell, front to back, with a "66 Riders" mark on the chin and MT's script signed across the side. The mixed finish is where the "Brillo/Mate" in the official name comes from, Spanish for gloss and matt: the stripes shine, the shell doesn't. It reads like a custom paint job from a 70s race paddock, straight out of the box.
Style is only half of this helmet's story. The Jarama holds ECE 22.06 approval, and it earned a specific place in helmet history as the first retro design certified under that standard, at a time when nearly every classic-styled competitor was still selling on older approvals. MT has built helmets since 1968, the original Jarama was one of them, and this generation carries the name with modern engineering underneath.
Safety features you hope to never use
Beyond the HIRP impact-resistant shell, the Jarama SV includes an emergency release system: the cheek pads pull out quickly so that, after a crash, first responders can remove the helmet with far less strain on the neck. It's the kind of feature buyers rarely ask about and professionals always appreciate. The micrometric buckle uses a double-tooth retention design, secure and simple to open even in winter gloves.
Made for sun, fog, and everything between
The internal sun visor covers the full field of view and retracts into the shell with a switch, so harsh afternoon glare stops being a reason to squint or stop. The clear main visor is scratch-resistant and removes in seconds with the redesigned quick-release mechanism, so swapping to the dark smoke MT-V-32 built for this shell takes almost no time. It also takes Pinlock Max Vision or MT's Fog-Off insert for misty starts.
Vents at the forehead and chin feed a constant airflow that exits through the rear.
Comms-ready out of the box
There's a dedicated housing built to the UCS standard (Universal Communications System), so current intercom units from major brands drop into place cleanly. The hypoallergenic interior removes completely for washing.

Who Is This Helmet For?
Riders who want their retro helmet to be noticed, on cafe racers, scramblers, modern classics, and naked bikes, especially anything with orange in the paint, KTM and Harley riders know who they are. It's also the pick for anyone who read this far and cares that a classic-looking full face helmet has an emergency release and current certification.
Prefer something quieter? The same helmet exists as the Jarama SV Solid A7 in gloss white with classic racing stripes.

What does Brillo/Mate mean in the name?
It's Spanish for gloss/matt, describing the mixed finish: a matt black shell with gloss orange stripes.
Is the Jarama SV Wild certified to ECE 22.06?
Yes. All Jarama SV versions carry ECE 22.06 and DOT approval, and the Jarama was the first retro-style helmet to pass the 22.06 standard.
What is the emergency release system?
The cheek pads are designed to pull out quickly, so after an accident the helmet can be removed with minimal movement of the rider's neck.
Which intercoms fit this helmet?
It has a housing built to the UCS standard, so current units from the major intercom brands mount cleanly. Check your unit's UCS compatibility before buying.
Does it take a Pinlock insert?
Yes, the visor accepts Pinlock Max Vision, and also MT's own Fog-Off anti-fog insert. Both are sold separately.
Is this the same helmet as the Jarama SV Solid A7 and B2?
Mechanically yes: same shell, certification, sun visor, and features. The Wild B1 differs only in its graphic paint, matt black with gloss orange pinstripes.
