Plain black helmets disappear, in a crowd of riders and, more importantly, in a car driver's mirror. The Tron B12 is the Stinger 2 for riders who'd rather not disappear. Circuit-board lines in white and grey cut across a gloss black base, with the Stinger name written large across the shell, all sealed under lacquer rather than stickered on. The extra contrast isn't only style: white and grey elements catch light that a fully black helmet swallows, which is worth something in Saudi traffic at dusk.

Under the graphics sits the helmet that shook the budget category. The Stinger 2 went through the UK government's SHARP laboratory in 2025 and came out with the maximum five stars, a result usually reserved for helmets costing several times more, and it carries full ECE 22.06 certification with the rotational tests the old standard never required. You can see the certification for yourself: the E-mark is printed on the visor, because under 22.06 the visor is a tested safety component too, not an accessory.

Everything the plain versions have, in party dress

Nothing was removed to pay for the paint. The HIRP shell and layered EPS do the impact work. The V-28B visor releases by hand for cleaning or swapping and is ready for a Pinlock Max Vision or Fog-Off insert (sold separately). Vents up front, extraction at the back, a fitted breath deflector, a washable hypoallergenic interior, speaker space for a Bluetooth intercom, and the glove-friendly micrometric ratchet on the strap. At roughly 1,600 grams it sits exactly where a full face helmet this size should.

Graphics that cost less than they look

MT prices its graphic editions, this Tron and the Stinger 2 Yozu among them, only slightly above the plain colors, which is unusual, most brands charge a heavy premium for paint.
