The Premier Typhoon helmet is where most riders start with the brand, and the BA graphic is the one that gets asked about. Matt grey, black and army green, a military stencil design on the shell, and underneath it the same sun visor, Pinlock and glasses friendly liner as Premier's carbon helmets. It is ECE 22.06 approved and the price is the lowest in the Premier full face range.

- Shell in Premier Advanced Polymer Technology (technopolymer)
- Two shell sizes: XS to M and L to XXL

What you actually get for the money
Same sun visor as the expensive Premiers. The dark visor that drops down inside the shell is the feature Gulf riders use most, and the Typhoon has it. On a fibre full face helmet from another brand at this price you often do not.
Pinlock in the box. Many helmets at this price are "Pinlock ready", which means you pay extra for the lens. Premier includes it. That is the difference between a clear visor and a fogged one on the first cool morning.
Four vents, not two. A large top intake, a chin intake and two extractors at the back. For a helmet designed around touring in Italy, it moves more air than you expect, which matters more here than there.
Glasses fit. The Easy Fit liner has a channel at the temples. If you wear glasses and have been sizing up to make them fit, you can stop.
Weight, honestly. At around 1,600 g the Typhoon is roughly 250 g heavier than the Devil carbon. On a 30 minute commute you will not notice. On a four hour ride you will. That is the whole trade off, and it is what the price difference buys.
Matt finish. The matt coat hides fingerprints and small scuffs better than gloss, but it needs gentle cleaning. Water and a microfibre cloth only.
Who should buy the Typhoon BA
New riders buying their first proper helmet. Commuters who ride under an hour a day and want a sun visor and a brand they can trust. Anyone who likes the military look and does not want to pay carbon prices for it.
If you ride long distances every weekend, the weight saving of the Devil carbon is worth the extra money. If you want a Double D ring for track days, look at the Hyper Carbon.
And if you want the same Typhoon shell without the military graphic, the Typhoon U9BM in plain matt black is the quieter version.

Is the Premier Typhoon a good first helmet?
Yes. It has current ECE 22.06 approval, a sun visor and a Pinlock, and the liner is soft enough for daily wear. Most riders keep it for years as a commuter helmet even after buying something lighter.
How heavy is it compared with a carbon helmet?
About 1,600 g against roughly 1,350 g for the Devil Carbon. That is the weight of a small bottle of water, spread across your head. Noticeable on long rides, not on short ones.
Does it have a sun visor?
Yes, a dark internal visor that slides down inside the shell.
How do I clean the matt shell?
- Rinse with plain water to lift dust.
- Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth.
- Dry with a second clean cloth. No wax, no polish, no solvent.
Can I fit a Bluetooth intercom?
Yes. The cheek pads have speaker spaces and the shell is prepared for intercom mounting.
What size should I order?
Measure around your head above the eyebrows and match the chart. Between sizes, go smaller. The liner and the padding kit let you fine tune from there.
