Icon Domain - Cornelius
Domain is a third, entirely separate Icon model line from the Airflite and Airform pages you've seen before, and it comes with its own story: it returned to Icon's lineup after a decade-long absence, built around a "neo-retro" design language that blends classic and futuristic styling at once.
The Cornelius colorway specifically is named after a historical explorer, and comes in a striking gold and silver finish for riders who want an identity distinct from the rest of Icon's helmet range.
A Hand-Crafted FRP Shell, Not Injection-Molded
Unlike Airflite and the Airform, which use injection-molded polycarbonate, the Domain uses a hand-crafted FRP (fiberglass-reinforced plastic) shell, a different manufacturing process that strikes a different balance between strength and weight, and adds a more crafted feel to the helmet.
Ventilation Through Large Brow-Mounted Intakes
The helmet features large intake vents at the brow, paired with channels distributed through the EPS foam layer to improve internal airflow, designed to work with the raised dorsal ridge that gives Domain its signature silhouette, distinct from other Icon helmets.
A Color-Matched Shield and Spoiler
The Cornelius colorway ships with a color-coordinated spoiler matched to an RST gold or silver shield, plus an additional clear anti-fog shield, all using a positive lock system that holds them securely. The Domain pivot kit is available separately if that mechanism ever needs replacing.
Ready for Sena's HelmLink System
Instead of the R.A.U. system used on other Icon lines, the Domain is designed to work with HelmLink, a Bluetooth system developed in partnership with Sena, sold separately and built to integrate directly with the shell.
What's Included
- Icon Domain Cornelius helmet
- Domain clear anti-fog shield
- Domain colored shield (RST gold or silver)
- Color-matched OTT Spoiler
Who This Helmet Is For
If you want a helmet with a distinctive look that steps away from typical sport-helmet styling, built with a differently crafted shell (hand-made FRP) and precise color-coordinated details, the Domain Cornelius is a strong choice for daily riding and regular road use.
If you prefer the same Domain shell in a plainer matte finish without the gold and silver treatment, the Domain Rubatone is the understated version of the same line.

What's the difference between the FRP shell and the polycarbonate shell used in Airflite and Airform?
FRP is hand-crafted from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, while polycarbonate is injection-molded. Each process strikes a different weight-to-strength balance, and FRP gives the helmet a more crafted feel.
Is HelmLink the same system used on Airflite and Airform?
No, the Domain is compatible with HelmLink, developed with Sena, while the other Icon lines use the R.A.U. system. Both are sold separately from the helmet itself.
Does the spoiler come in a fixed color, or can I change it?
The Cornelius colorway ships with a spoiler pre-matched to the shield color (gold or silver).
Is the helmet certified internationally?
Yes, it holds US DOT, European ECE 22.06, and Japanese PSC certification.
