The Domain Rubatone is an ICON full face helmet with a handcrafted fibreglass shell and a rubberised matte coating. Four intake vents feed a large exhaust port at the rear, and the Hydradry liner pulls out for washing.
Certified to DOT FMVSS 218, ECE 22.06 and PSC, and designed to take ICON's HelmLink unit inside the shell with no cutting.
The Rubatone Finish
Rubatone is a rubberised matte coating rather than gloss paint under lacquer. The texture is soft to the touch and the look stays clean if you handle it correctly.
Fingerprints do show, mostly around the shield edge and the chin bar where you grip the helmet. A dry microfibre lifts them off.

Cleaning It Without Damage
ICON is explicit on this: scrubbing Rubatone hard will ruin the finish permanently.
For dried insects and dust, lay a warm damp cloth flat on the shell and leave it five minutes until everything softens. Then lift the residue with a light blotting motion using microfibre or the soft bag the helmet ships in. Blot, do not drag.
No wax, no polish. Both leave patches on a matte surface that cannot be removed.
ECE 22.06 Certification
This helmet meets ECE 22.06, the current European standard.
What that standard added was oblique and rotational impact testing, plus testing at multiple speeds across more impact points. The helmet is assessed against situations closer to real crashes rather than a single straight strike.
That said, any helmet that has taken an impact must be replaced even if it looks undamaged. The EPS absorbs one impact.
How Air Moves Through the Shell
Four intakes draw air in at the brow and top, channels cut into the EPS carry it across the scalp, and a large exhaust port at the rear pulls it out.
The system works with movement. At riding speed there is a clear flow over the head. Sitting stationary in summer, no vent layout compensates for still air.
The Hydradry liner wicks sweat off the skin rather than holding it, and it comes out completely for washing. In Saudi summer, wash it roughly every two weeks. Dust and sweat build up fast, and a clean liner wicks better.
Head Shape and Sizing
The Domain is built on an Intermediate Oval shape, the most common head shape.
Head shape and head size are different things and get confused often. A distinctly round head, meaning front to back close to side to side, may feel pressure at the forehead and rear. A long oval head may feel tightness at the temples.
When judging fit, go by the crown rather than the cheeks. Cheek pads compress within the first fifteen to twenty hours of riding, so initial tightness there settles. If the crown itself is pressing, the size is too small.
Fitting the HelmLink Unit
The Domain is built around ICON's HelmLink system, which uses SENA technology. The sculpted neckline acts as the access port, so the unit sits inside the helmet rather than clamping onto the outside. The unit is sold separately; see our helmet Bluetooth communication systems.
The internal pockets take standard 40mm motorcycle speakers. Slim profile speakers seat better. Nothing needs cutting.
What Is in the Box
The helmet ships with the clear Domain Shield, a removable chin curtain that reduces airflow from below in cooler weather, and a breath deflector that cuts fogging.
Tinted helmet shields and the Domain MotoShield with peak are sold separately.
Before You Buy
This is a single shield helmet with no internal drop down sun visor. If you rely on a built in sun visor, this model does not have one; the Airflite Dark Rubatone gives you the same matte finish with a drop-down visor.
The matte finish needs attention when cleaning. If you want something you can wash quickly without thinking about it, choose a gloss finish like the Ultraflite Gloss Black instead.

You may request a product return within 3 days of delivery, or an exchange within 7 days of delivery.
Return & exchange conditions
The product must be in its original unused condition, with the original invoice, original packaging, and all accessories included.
Returns or exchanges are not accepted if the product has been opened or its packaging tampered with, shows signs of use, damage, or improper storage, or if any accessories or parts of the original packaging are missing.
Excluded products
Some products cannot be returned or exchanged, such as: used products including footwear, clothing, and spare parts; electrical/electronic parts and batteries; personal protective clothing and gear after use or after removing accessories; and technical spare parts after installation or use.
Electronic products and batteries must be inspected within 48 hours of delivery.
Fees
When returning a resalable product, up to 25% of its value may be deducted.
For showroom purchases paid by bank card (Visa or Mastercard), if a return is requested more than 24 hours after purchase, an electronic payment processing fee of 2.5% applies.
How to return
You can request a return shipping label from customer service for SAR 30, or ship the product at your own expense.
Manufacturing defects & shipping errors
If the product has a confirmed manufacturing defect, or if a shipping error was made on our side, we will cover all related costs and provide a full refund including shipping fees.
Processing & refunds
Return and exchange requests are processed within two business days. After approval, the refund is issued the same day and may appear in your account within 1 to 7 business days depending on your bank.

How do I clean the matte finish without damaging it?
Warm damp cloth on the shell for five minutes, then blot the softened dirt away with microfibre. No scrubbing, no wax, no polish.
Does it have an internal sun visor?
No. It is a single shield helmet and ships with the clear shield.
Can I fit a Bluetooth intercom?
Yes. It is designed for ICON's HelmLink, and the internal pockets take standard 40mm speakers with no cutting required.
How often should I wash the liner?
Roughly every two weeks in summer. It removes completely and hand washes in lukewarm water with mild soap.
Can the helmet be used after a drop?
No. The EPS is designed to absorb a single impact, and the helmet must be replaced after any impact even with no visible damage.
