The MT Targo S Kay helmet is for riders who want a graphic that whispers instead of shouts. Matt black and grey panels, clean white sections, two thin red lines, and not a single reflection off the shell. Underneath sits the ECE 22.06 certified Targo S platform, built as an entry point into MT's sport-touring range.

Key features at a glance

  • ECE 22.06 certified, the current European safety standard
  • Kay B2 graphic in matt black, white and grey with red accents
  • HIRP high impact resistant polymer shell, 1,500 g ± 20 g
  • MT-QVSS tool-free visor swap, removable in seconds
  • Scratch-resistant MT-V-14B polycarbonate visor, Pinlock DKS209 ready
  • Chin and crown air intakes with three rear extractors and spoiler
  • Fully removable, washable lining with channels for glasses
  • Nose deflector included as standard
  • Recessed UCS housing for flush-fit Bluetooth intercoms
  • MT-MDTC micrometric double-tooth buckle, sizes XS to XL

Why riders choose matt

A matt shell never throws sunlight back at the riders around you, never shows fingerprints after you carry it into the office, and hides light dust between washes. It looks freshly cleaned for days, which is exactly why the matt versions of this helmet quietly outsell many of the loud ones. If you want the same finish without any graphic at all, the plain Targo S matt black is the stripped-back option.

Matt care rule: never wax or polish a matt shell. Polish fills the surface texture and leaves permanent shiny patches that cannot be undone. Clean with water and a soft microfibre cloth only.

Certified to the current standard

The ECE 22.06 test strikes the shell at more speeds and more points than the old standard, and it measures the rotational forces behind most real crashes. The Targo S platform was designed from the ground up to exceed it. On a full face helmet at this price, that certification is the headline.

A visor you swap in seconds

The patented MT-QVSS system releases the visor without tools, even with the helmet on your head. The fitted clear visor is scratch resistant and Pinlock DKS209 ready, and MT sells tinted options for this model too, including an iridium blue MT-V-14B, if you want the full stealth look by day.

Built for long days in the saddle

This is MT's entry into the sport-touring segment, and it shows in the details. The rear spoiler smooths airflow at highway speed, the chin and crown intakes feed three rear extractors to keep heat moving out, and the included nose deflector cuts the breath that fogs a visor on cool mornings.

An interior that works with glasses

The lining has channels along the cheek pads that let glasses' arms slide in without pressure on your temples, a detail riders with prescription glasses or sunglasses will feel on the first ride. The full interior removes in about a minute and washes with mild soap, drying overnight.

Bluetooth ready, nothing stuck on

The shell carries a recessed UCS housing, the fitting intercom makers now build for. A UCS unit sits flush inside the helmet, and standard intercoms still mount with their usual clamp or adhesive kits, so you choose the brand.

Who is this helmet for?

Commuters get a shell that still looks clean on Thursday after a week of dusty parking lots, plus real airflow for hot rides. Sport-touring riders get the spoiler, the vent package and the glasses-friendly interior that make long highway days comfortable.

New riders get current-standard protection with a one-click buckle at an entry price. Sportbike riders get an aerodynamic shell in a colour scheme that matches almost any machine without competing with it.

How do I find my correct size?

Follow these three steps:

  1. Wrap a soft tape around your head about 2.5 cm above your eyebrows.
  2. Match the number to the chart: 57 to 58 cm is Medium, 59 to 60 cm is Large.
  3. Between two sizes? Choose the smaller one. The padding softens with use, and a loose helmet protects poorly.

How do I clean a matt helmet without ruining the finish?

Water and a soft microfibre cloth, nothing else. Rinse dust off first so you are not dragging grit across the surface, wipe gently, and let it air dry. No wax, no polish, no all-purpose sprays.

Will the matt finish turn shiny over time?

Only if it is polished or rubbed hard with rough cloths. Glove contact points can develop slight sheen after years of use, which is normal wear. Follow the water-and-microfibre routine and the finish stays even.

Can I wear glasses with this helmet?

Yes, comfortably. The cheek pads have channels that let glasses' arms slide in without pressing on your temples. Put the helmet on first, then your glasses.

Which Bluetooth intercoms fit?

Any intercom sold in a UCS version drops straight into the recessed housing. Standard units still mount with their normal clamp or adhesive kits, so no brand lock-in.

Is the anti-fog lens included?

The visor is prepared for one, but the Pinlock DKS209 insert is sold separately. The included nose deflector already reduces fogging, and most riders in Saudi Arabia only need the insert for winter dawn rides.
